GUESS WHAT EVERYONE!! I'm getting transferred! Really sad to leave all our friends we're teaching, my comps, the ward, and my besties that work at Walmart (lol) but I am STOKED for this new area! I'll be over a Polynesian ward and another one in North Las Vegas and I've heard it's THE BEST. They are known for feeding the missionaries A LOT so wish me luck haha.

This week was SO good. SO many miracles and SO many laughs. I just feel overwhelmed with joy and so grateful to be a missionary. This is the best.

Yesterday, we got out of a lesson and decided to walk around the neighborhood. I felt prompted to knock on this door so we went up and a sweet old Hispanic lady opened the door. She was so happy to see us and welcomed us in right away. We sat down on her couch and got to know her a bit. She shared with us how her husband had recently passed away and started to cry. I'm so grateful for the gospel and the knowledge of the Plan of Salvation. We were able to share a little of it with her and bring her some comfort. It was amazing. And then we asked if we can help her with anything and she needed her fernace filters changed so we went to work and it was so fun!

After that, we went to the neighborhood next door and I felt like we should knock on another door. These 2 cute little girls answered. A few seconds later, their mom who looked pretty worldly, came to the door. Again, they welcomed us in and we had a lesson about the Plan of Salvation.

This family has been through a lot. A year ago, their house caught on fire and her 3 year old son and husband weren't able to get out and ended up dying. Sitting there as she was telling us this story was devastating. She was crying and I was getting tiery eyed. She continued to tell us how right before we came to the door, she was sitting on her phone looking for a movie trailer she saw a while back about God, trying to find something to bring her hope and peace. Right at that moment, she got a knock on her door and it was us! She said she knew God sent us.

It was incredible to see how God directed us to those two homes. He knew what they were going through and we were able to be instruments in his hands. The Lord really is guiding this work. His timing is perfect and we need to put our trust in Him, our whole heart, might, mind, and strength. He knows what your going through. When we do rely on Him, we will receive the strength that is available from the Atonement of Jesus Christ. "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28

Love you!

Fun fact: our district has been doing random challenges and it is so fun!

1. #coonchallenge- They found out that sometimes I brush my teeth laying on my bed (because why not?) So they started the #coonchallenge where all the companions in my district send a video of them trying to brush their teeth laying down. So funny.

2. #gunnellchallenge- Elder Gunnell, our district leader, has caught about 5 pigeons within the last few weeks and then will let them go. So we've been trying to catch a pigeon when we're walking around and no one is outside. It has brought some good entertainment haha. I haven't had any luck yet so pray that I'll can catch one🤪

Goodbye Villa Bonita, Hello Tropical Breeze

Hello friends!!! Quick little update:

☆ I got transferred to North Las Vegas and have been loving meeting so many new incredible people! It was sad to leave the area and people I love so much but I'm happy to give everything I've got to this new area!

☆ I'M IN A SAMOAN WARD! IT'S SO FUN! The entire sacrament meeting is in Samoan and I just sit there not having a clue what they're saying. It's awesome.

☆ We found out last night that our Palangi ward (as the Samoans call white people) is getting dissolved so that's a RIP. We have no idea what our area is now or what will happen to our friends so keep them in your prayers!

☆ There's a lady in our Samoan ward named Mama Tolu and she is the cutest. She made us FISH HEADS this week for dinner. Needless to say, it was very interesting. She also gave me a cucuey nut necklace to wear every week to church. She is the sweetest!!

☆ We put our friend Stephanie on date! She is a cute 10 year old girl from Africa. It was seriously a miracle because she hasn't taken any of the missionary lessons but her dad is a member. We had stopped by their house one day this week and the dad let us in. We talked to him about his experience getting baptized and then I turned over to her and asked her if she would be interested in doing that and she said yes!! We read 2 Nephi 31 with her and it was amazing. We were so happy she has decided to follow Christ's example by being baptized! So keep cute Stephanie in your prayers too so she'll be able to make her date, July 15th!!

There's a little summary of our week! So many more amazing things happened. The Lord is good! I feel so happy!

Here's a quick verse that I love from my scripture study this morning. Alma 20:4 "...I know, in the strength of the Lord thou canst do all things..." Don't forget it;)

Bike Mode

Hello everyone!

This week will be the last week of the transfer and I can't believe how fast it has gone. This has been an amazing transfer! I feel so grateful for the people we're teaching and to be able to serve with such great companions. I've been in this area for four months (my entire mission. can't believe I've already been out for that long!!) and I hope I stay another transfer but feel like I probably will be leaving.

We've seen lots of miracles this week!

☆ First off, WE HAD 7 PEOPLE AT CHURCH! It was amazing. Lizzie and Elana finally came after being very covid conscious and they really enjoyed it! God heard our prayers.

☆ President Rodarte came out on Wednesday and said that tracking (knocking on people's doors) is now allowed. But it is in a very inspired way. So we pray about what house we think we need to knock and then go. The first house we knocked, a ysa aged guy opened the door and he was actually interested! And then the next day, we did the same thing again and that very first door we knocked, they wanted to hear the gospel as well!!! It was incredible. The Lord is hastening His work for sure!

☆ We went "bike mode" a few times this week and had so much fun doing that. I just laugh to myself the entire time cuz I can just imagine how funny we look with our helmets, bright safety vests, and a dress. Haha good times

That's a little update for you! Love you all!! Hope you have a great week and make sure to say your prayers and read your scriptures! I know the Book of Mormon is the Word of God and will bring you closer to Him!!

xoxo
