"Hello Sister Coon..." CREEPY

Hello friends!

This was another solid week!
Also, just want to say, I love my companions. They're so fun. It's the most random people put together but somehow it works so beautifully haha.

Anyways, here's a few highlights:

☆ Saturday the ward put on a taco movie night that we invited EVERYONE to and it ended up being a pretty good turn out! During it, I was hopping around from table to table talking to all the people I haven't met yet. There was this one lady across the room who I've never seen so I knew I needed to talk to her. I went and sat at the chair right next to her but her back was facing the other way and she didn't really acknowledge me. So I turned to her and was like "hey, what's your name? :)" She then peered over her shoulder and was like, "hi Sister Coon" and then turned away.

IT WAS SO CREEPY. I was shocked. "How do you know my name?!" (Mind you, she had not seen my tag). She just sat there looking the opposite way, not saying anything. I was a little stunned lol. Then it clicked. It was Isabelle!!

Isabelle is a lady we've had phone call lessons with a few times but she won't meet us in person (cuz I think she's a hoarder and she's been busy). But we finally got to meet! And it felt like a fun little reunion, really creepy at first, but fun haha

☆ The BIGGEST miracle of the week: we had 7 people at church on Sunday!!!! It was amazing! This area is blessed.

☆ We had a lesson with this lady who lives in a one bedroom apartment with 4 CATS. I was dying. The lesson went really good though!

☆ I read a quote from Elder Bednar in my personal study today and it was so good! "As we act in accordance with the truths of His gospel, we are blessed with the spiritual capacity to press forward through the challenges of mortality while focusing on the joys the Savior offers to us. Truly, “if we do what’s right we have no need to fear, for the Lord, our helper, will ever be near.”

Living the gospel brings blessings! You will be strengthened through your trials because Christ is promised to be with you. I love it!

Love you all!! Life is so good and so happy!! I hope you're all doing good. I know God's aware of you and can help you through anything you're going through right now.

Love you!

Sister Coon

Miracles!!!

HELLO!!!

This was Sister Wallentine's first week in Villa Bonita and man did we show her a good time!! Tuesday, we picked her up from the mission office, dropped her bags off, and went straight to work.

The first lesson was with a lady we found 2 weeks ago. She shared with us how she's been struggling with alcohol for a few years but is over living that lifestyle. She had said a prayer to God that he would change the path she was going on and that very day, we met her! She knew immediately that we were the answer to her prayers and that she needed to start taking the lessons. What a miracle! It was really a testimony builder for me that there are no coincidences in life. God is in all the details! At the end of the lesson, she said something along lines of, "now, I'm not going to be baptized yet..." Key word YET;)

Then Wednesday we saw so many more miracles! Within an hour and a half, we found 6 people. 2 of which, came up to US and asked us what we do. It was crazy.

We also had our first lesson with Tahera and invited her to pray about a date to be baptized!!! I'll keep you updated on that!

But those are a few of the MANY miracles we've seen this week. I hope it was a great week for you all! I love you and know God loves you!!

xoxo sister coon:)
